POLICE REPORT – Knutsford Police March 2017

02/03 Convex mirror stolen from end of drive way of property along Birkenheath lane Ashley.

 

04/03 Male arrested for an assault at 11.30 hours on Mereside Rd Mere.

 

06/03 Criminal damage – graffiti found on children’s play area

Moorside – Knutsford.

 

07/03  x 2 suspicious males in M registered White transit van around 13.00 hours. One male was seen to walk to the rear of  property on Trouthall lane in Plumley and when asked – told the caller he was removing rubbish which was not true.

 

10/03 Theft from garage at a property on Bexton lane in Knutsford. Garage door has been lifted overnight and a large quantity has been stolen.

 

10/03 Burglary at property on Springwood avenue – Knutsford. Overnight, Front door has been possibly tampered with and was found wide open in the evening. Nothing stolen.

 

10/03 Burglary at an address on Merlin avenue –Knutsford. Offenders have smashed the rear door and stolen a safe containing a large quantity of alcohol overnight.

12/03 Theft from motor vehicle overnight. square Mobberley. Offenders have entered by means unknown and stolen property left in vehicle.

17/03 Around 13.15 there was an attempt burglary to an address on Goughs lane – Knutsford. 3 males were seen running away from the rear of a property and jump into a Red S reg Mercedez and make off at speed. Males were disturbed by the owner retuning back at the address.

 

28/03  Theft from garage to a property on Summersway Knutsford. Garage has been entered by means unknown and 2 pedal cycles have been stolen.

 

28/03  Theft of vehicle registration plate from motorcycle on Snelson lane Snelson.

 

29/03  Theft from insecure garage on Ashworth park Knutsford, Personal items of property has been stolen.

KNUTSFORD RURAL

 

 

30/12 Criminal damage to the pavilion building on Jacobs way in Pickmere. Offenders has been seen causing damage to the CCTV. Knutsford police currently dealing.

 

11/01 Burglary at an address on Oakfield avenue Knutsford.

Offenders have entered the property from an insecure rear door and have stolen fishing gear from the lounge.

 

11/01  Criminal damage. Offenders has broken glass of upper toilet window during daytime hours to a property on Burnt acre in Chelford.

 

11/01 Burglary at a property on Chelford road in Knutsford.

Offenders have thrown a heavy stone at the rear glass patio windows. They have entered and have stolen jewellery.

 

21/01 Male arrested  at 12.30 hours on Sudlow lane Tabley for driving whilst under the influence of drugs.

 

23/01 Shoplifting at High legh garden centre. Offenders have stolen Dog bedding and aquatics items 3 times within the same day.

 

25/01 Container -containing various tools at an address on Leigh rd in Knutsford has been broken into overnight. Tools have been stolen.

30/01 Criminal damage to motor vehicle.  Group of youths seen around 18.00 hours in the Longridge area to throw brick at vehicle causing Damage.

KNUTSFORD RURAL

 

30/11 Male issued with cannabis warning 22.30 hours on Lady lane – Mobberley.

02/11 Theft of heating oil from a property on Reddy lane Little Bollington. Offenders have removed oil from oil tank and made off.

06/12  Male knocking on doors near Tabley lane pretending to be working for the probation service selling small items.

05/12 -2 x males trying to sell small items to privates dwelling near the Lilac avenue area of Knutsford. The males were claiming to have just been released from prison and were working for the probation services. No such service exits.

07/12  Theft of front and rear vehicle registration plates to Hyundai vehicle parked on Tabley hill lane.

16/12 Female on Mere hall drive given cannabis warning for possession for cannabis 19.45 hours.

19/12  Burglary at a property on Pevensey drive Knutsford. Offenders have used a large plant pot to smash rear patio windows. Untidy search in all rooms. Unsure what has been taken at this stage. Occurred overnight.

01/03/2016 – Theft – Chester Road, Mere

Two males seen acting suspicious, white males, short, stocky build and eastern European. The males were seen going through peoples bags, they were challenged and then ran off to the car park. A blue rover v546*** Keys have been taken from a customer’s bag.

 

02/03/2016

2 suspicious males around 15.30 hours trying to use a fake £20 at the pharmacy on Town lane in Mobberley.

 

05/03 Burglary at an address on Oldfield drive Mobberley. An electrical item was taken whilst painters were at the address during the daytime.

 

05/03 /2016 Tools stolen from shed to a property along Chelford road in Ollerton. Shed padlock was forced open with a crow bar.

 

10/03/2016 Male arrested, charged and bailed for driving whilst under the influence of drugs driving along Chelford lane Over peover in the early hours in the morning.

 

13/03/2016 Theft from motor vehicle. Rear window smashed and power stools stolen as the vehicle was parked in the daytime along Warrington road at Mere.

 

07/03/2016 3 suspicious males seen in a White transit van seen around 20.10 hours in the Cherry tree lane area of Rostherne all wearing scarves over their faces about 35 yrs of age.

 

08/03/2016  A fake £20 was used in a public house along the Lymm road in Little Bollington.

 

 

14/03/2016  A male was seen in a White transit van selling floor paints from the back of white transit van

 

15/03/2016 A suspicious male was seen sat in a white Vauxhall Astra with gloves on. The driver was in his 20’s, brown hair, slim build and was parked along Hawthorne road in Plumley.

 

16/03/2106 A Thwaites JCB dumper truck was stolen along Ashley road in Ashley over the last few days. The vehicle had been taken from a farm.

 

16/03/2016 2 Males entered the Co-op store along Mobberley road in Mobberley and alcohol was stolen.

 

19/03/2016  House on Yew tree road  -Plumley  Burgled overnight whilst occupant on holiday. Rear window has been smashed and untidy search upstairs and downstairs. Unsure was has been stolen.

 

21/03/2016  Theft of 7 sheep at a farm alongside Cicely mill lane in Rostherne. All sheep were maked with a J initial on the fleece.

 

23/03  Burglary occurred at business premises along School lane in Ollerton. Offenders have smashed the front window of premises and stolen a copper bath.

 

23/03 Stable in a field entered on Ostlers lane in Mobberly and property taken.

 

25/03  Rear doors to a private dwelling on Newton hall lane in Mobberley smashed as an attempt burglary.

 

25/03  Theft of fridge from Caravan parked in storage on Castle mill lane in Ashley.

 

Good news..

 

A 25 year old man from Sale has pleaded guilty to handling a stolen Quad bike from a rural premises at Bucklow Hill, Knutsford.

 

During the early hours of Wednesday 9th September 2015, a Honda Quad bike was stolen during a burglary from a premises at Bucklow Hill, Knutsford .

 

The Honda Quad bike was recovered by Police a short time later from the driveway of an address in Sale.

 

Forensic investigations on the recovered quad bike linked Stefan DONOVAN of Newgate Road, Sale and he was subsequently arrested.

 

On Monday 7th March 2016, DONOVAN appeared at South and East Cheshire Magistrates Court and pleaded guilty to Handling Stolen Goods.

 

DONOVAN received a community order and ordered to carry out unpaid work for 150 hours within the next twelve months. He was also ordered to pay costs of £85.00 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

 

PC Mike Dawber, Rural Beat Officer for Knutsford said “The Constabulary has worked hard to tackle rural crime and will continue to do so. These types of offences have a knock on effect on people’s livelihoods. The Quad bike was used in the course of the victims business and so it has a knock on effect”.

03/02/2016 – Suspicious Activity – Reported at  12:53hrs

Parkgate Lane, Knutsford

Male walked into the store, he took a photo of the cash machine just after someone had used it and then rushed out of the store. The vehicle he was seen getting in was a Citroen van part REG HY65 – smnt of vehicle, logged for Intel.

 

05/02/2016 – Drugs Warrant-

Moorcroft Plumley, Knutsford

Police conducted a drugs warrant in Plumley and arrested a male and a female for possession of a class B drug. The female was charged with the offence of producing a quantity of cannabis, and the male was issued with an adult caution for possession of a controlled drug of Class B, in contravention of section 4(1) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

 

06/02/2016 – Suspicious Activity – Reported at 15:19hrs

Seven Sisters Lane, Toft, Knutsford

Two males shooting (with an air rifle) at pigeons in Toft Woods, males left prior to police arrival. Wildlife officer PC DAY and PC DAWBER were dealing. Any information then please let them know.

£120 of goods stolen by 2 males.

An orange van was seen driving up Green lane in Tabley and into moss lane with a lamp at the front. Possibly lampers.

Town Lane, Mobberley

Male shoplifter, stolen a large amount of meat. Officers are investigating.

 

20/02/2016 – Anti-social behaviour

Carlisle Close, Mobberley

Report of house being egged overnight. No witnesses.

 

21/02/2016 – Theft from motor vehicle

Robin Lane, Chelford

Number plate has been stolen from a vehicle.

 

25/02/2016 – Burglary Dwelling

Cow Lane, Ashley

Property has been broken into, rear patio door has been forced open. This has happened between 0800-1600hrs.

 

29/02/2016 – Suspicious Activity

Whitehouse Lane, Plumley

Two males seen running away from an address. The informant noticed that someone has tampered with the caravan (no damage caused).  Vehicle that was seen was a silver/grey Peugeot.

 

 Good News/Arrests and Positive Police Work!!!

 

  • 04/02 /2016 stop and search on male at 16.30 hours on Grotto lane. Street cannabis warning issued.

 

  • On the afternoon of Friday 5th February 2016, officers executed a search warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act in Plumley, Knutsford.

    Following a search of residential premises, a quantity of Cannabis was located and a male and female who were present at the address were arrested.

    Following this investigation, a 25 year old female was charged to appear at Court in relation to the production of Cannabis and an 18 year old male received an Adult Caution.

    PC Jim Day, who is Rural Beat Officer for Knutsford said “This sends out a message that drugs activity will not be tolerated and we will deal robustly with these offences whether they are committed in urban or rural areas.”

  • 17/02/2016 Cannabis warning issued to male in the early hours on Chester road at mere.

 

  • 18/02/2016   Male received a fine of £90 for possession on cannabis on Ascol drive in Plumley.

Warning bogus callers

We have had a report of 2 men possibly pretending to be from BT and a Solar panel company in the PARKGATE avenue area of Over Peover this Wednesday. These offenders have targeted an elderly residents house and obtained money from a cash card at this address.
Please do not let visitors into your house unless you have invited them by pre arranged appointment.
