There are a number of clubs & societies in the village, some are open but membership of others may be restricted. These include the Cricket Club, the Football club, the Women’s Institute, the Mainwaring Probus Club, the Fly fishing Club, the Indoor Bowls club, the Golf Society, the Gooseberry Show and the Cheshire Forest Hunt.

It is clear that some clubs desire their details to be published here and some do not.
